Payment Policy

All tuition payments are handled by our tuition billing company, Compete Services. If you have questions regarding your tuition, we prefer you contact Barbara at Compete Services directly via phone: (801) 830-1422 or email: barbara@competeservices.com.


ESC no longer accepts checks for regular on-going tuition. However, for camps, workshops, rentals and one-time events you can pay the studio directly by check or cash.

Payment Terms

  • All classes are paid by the semester or annually. Monthly financing may be available upon request.
  • ESC utilizes a 14-day cancellation policy. An exception may be made in the case of serious medical illness — a signed note from a physician is required.
  • There is a 60% Early Withdrawal Fee. If you choose to withdraw early from classes, we will refund only partial payment for unused classes.
  • It is possible to transfer unused classes to a family member. Please speak with our office to make these arrangements.
  • Costumes/Performance Fees are due on the second Monday of September ($50.00), and on the first Monday of February ($35.00). Your account will be billed automatically.

Electronic Funds Transfers

  • A $25.00 fee shall be assessed for insufficient funds. A $5.00 fee shall be assessed for each additional failed attempt. If an account remains delinquent beyond 30 days, additional fees may be assessed and collections procedures may be started.
  • A $10 fee shall be assessed for reversals made by a student. If a debit is resubmitted and reversed by the student a second time, an additional $15 fee may be assessed. Collections proceedings may be started and services may be discontinued, if the student fails to resolve these issues with Compete Services.
  • The student (or person acting for student) shall be held liable for any collection charges or legal fees assessed as a result of delinquent accounts.

Credit Card Policy

Credit Cards must be valid for the duration of your term with ESC. Please note the expiration date on your credit card, and ensure that it will exceed the semester or year you sign up with us.


  • A $15 fee shall be assessed for reversals made by the student, or if the credit card debit fails for any reason. If a credit card charge is resubmitted and fails or is reversed a second time, an additional $10 fee may be assessed.
  • If accounts remain delinquent beyond 30 days, additional fees may be assessed and collections procedures may be started. The student (or person acting for student) shall be held liable for any collection charges or legal fees assessed as a result of delinquent accounts.

Payment Options

You may download and fill out our registration and payment forms ahead of time or come in to the school to do so. You will be required to attend a brief meeting where you will receive your school handbook and to go over a few important dates and policies. We do this to clarify dates, and any questions you may have. Call us to schedule a time of about 15-30 minutes. Shoe fittings are by appointment only.


FALL SEMESTER BEGINS AUGUST 9. REGISTER IN JULY TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT, we do expect to fill up quickly this year!

Option 1: Monthly Financing

Choose a payment schedule that best fits your budget. Financing your monthly tuition allows you to spread out your class payments, while paying by the semester or entire year provides you with discounted options.

Option 2: Monthly Membership

Monthly membership covers up to 4 classes per week. Classes may be divided between family members. Additional classes may be purchased at a discounted rate.

* For example, if I take 3 classes and my kid takes 2, we have a total of 5 classes for a charge of $165 per month

Performance Fees

Please note that all students who are in performing classes (most classes) will be charged a one time performance fee each semester for each class.


Fall Semester (Credit cards are automatically charged by September 15th)

  • First class: $50
  • Second class: $42 (includes 15% discount)


Spring Semester (Credit Cards are automatically charged by February 14th)

  • First Class: $35
  • Second Class: $30

What Do These Fees Cover?

  • The above fees cover equipment rental, extra rehearsals, costuming, staffing, picture day, etc. (Some classes may have minimal extra materials fees, but most should be included.)
  • Also included are 2 tickets to the Winter Showcase (for each fee paid) as well as a professional photograph of the student in costume for each class.
  • If you are in more than 2 classes that require different costumes, etc., please speak with the director for specific fee information.
  • If you are in the same class multiple times per week (e.g. Ballet II), only one fee is charged for that class.

  • For parent/child classes the performance fees are per student, with a 10% discount applied to one student.

  • Fall Semester: August - December
  • Spring Semester: January - May
  • All costuming and performance fees are charged to credit cards on file by September 15th for the Fall Semester, and by Febuary 14th for Spring, there are no refunds.
  • Only Summer prices include a drop-in option (for more information, please see student handbook)
